The Glasgow Skye Pipe Band sponsored by Phoenix Honda, achieved 2nd place in Grade 2 at the British Championships, which took place on Saturday 28th June. Under the direction of Pipe Major Craig Campbell and Drum Sergeant Jim Whitefield, the band arrived in Birmingham, eager and determined to impress the judges.

The Band, consisting of nineteen pipers and eleven drummers were the first to play in the competition and in doing so, had to set the standard. And they did indeed set the standard, taking 2nd place in the Championship with only 1 point separating them from the winners, Torphichen and Bathgate.

The Band's next outing is on Saturday 26th July when they will travel to Lisburn in Northern Ireland to take part in the European Championships. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to congratulating them on winning!
